Description:

The event will tip-off with a panel discussion, facilitated by legendary Bulls radio announcer Chuck Swirsky, and will include Bulls Executives from various departments. Afterwards, there will be a brief meet-and-greet with the Executives, and then you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from all the teams that are shown below.

The game directly follows the conclusion of the career fair. Parking information is available through the link below.

UW Athletic Department Marketing Internship

Location: Madison, WI
Commitment: 10-20 hours/week
Salary: $9.00/hr

Description:

The UW Athletic Department is currently accepting applicants for student internships in the Athletic Marketing Office.  These intensive internships will provide hands-on experience in Division I college athletics.  Those who have a desire to work in sports marketing and a passion for athletics are encouraged to apply.  

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotions to foster ticket sales
  • Assist in the preparation, set-up, and execution of game promotions (pre-game giveaways, in-game contests, and special introductions/ceremonies)
  • Manage interactive kids’ areas
  • Event support for special non-game day functions (autograph sessions, kids’ clinics, and kids’ events)
  • Assist in the development and management of social media content leading up to and at live events.
  • Other event and office duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • In total, the position requires 10-20 hours per week.  In addition to office hours (approx. 6 hours per week), the candidate must be willing to work irregular event hours including nights and weekends. 
  • The candidate must have demonstrated creative and customer relations skills in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.  Additionally, the candidate must be hardworking, reliable, outgoing, and interact well with people of all ages.

Description:

The Big Ten Network is seeking Summer Interns to join one of our various departments at the Chicago office. The program offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience. You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world projects, which provides valuable work experience and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Marketing: promote the BTN Big 10K in Chicago, plan and help execute the fall/winter on-campus internship program at each university
  • Communications: media relations, community building, university outreach
  • New Media: update social media content, research offseason feature content ideas, assist in the coverage of Media Days via social platforms
  • Remote Production: assist in the creation of graphics and videotape highlights, organize media for future broadcasts, review and log video of live events
  • Studio production: assist the producer in the creation of features, analyze games, research videos and news stories for features

Qualifications:
  • Be a currently enrolled student working towards a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university. Recent graduates are not eligible for this program.
  • Be a sophomore (second-year college student) or above.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Chicago, IL.
  • All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
